In recognition of National Victims of Crime Awareness Week (NVCAW), the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) is launching its handbook, “Living Beyond the Murder of a Loved One: Information for Families and Others Affected by Homicide” on April 25th, 2012.
This handbook, which includes information on supports and services available to those who have been impacted by homicide, has been developed in response to concerns expressed from loved ones of homicide victims. It will provide information about the many systems and processes (criminal justice or otherwise) that families could encounter to help make the journey for homicide survivors a little easier.
